Meditation Supplies : Their benefits and use

September 15th, 2007 · No Comments

In one article of Meditation Corner, I mentioned about three aids in Meditation which are Deep Breathing, Deep Relaxation & Deep Contraction. These three aids, in my opinion, are most essential (& sufficient) aids for Meditation. However, once you become regular in your meditation practice and it becomes a part of your life, you can consider using various meditation accessories (generally known as Meditation Supplies). In this article (and subsequent articles in these series) I will throw lights on various kinds of meditation supplies used by people while meditating.

Meditation supplies include various cloths, robe, mat, pillows, chair, stool & timers etc designed specifically for meditation. Using these meditation supplies during meditation can help you a great deal as they create a suitable environment for meditation and help us focus on meditation in a better way. If you are an absolute beginner in meditation and can afford to use these meditation supplies, you can make very fast progress. Having said that, I must clarify that these meditation supplies are recommended but not absolutely essential. You can meditate very well even without them. However, as I said before, normally they help a lot.

In this series, I shall discuss various meditation supplies you can use for your meditation session.
