If you really want to meditate properly, then make sure that you take a proper and sound sleep every night This is so important that I cant stress enough its value. A proper and sound sleep of 7-8 hours per day refreshes our bodies and rejuvenates us from inside. With a properly rested body, you will be able to enter into deep meditation state pretty easily.
On the other hand, if you do not take proper sleep and try meditation, you will find yourself in a state of confusion and delusion while meditating. Your mind, in the absence of proper rest, will force you to enter into sleep instead of meditating. No matter, how seriously you try, you will not be able to meditate. Try it if you will.
Sleep properly and reap the benefit of deep meditation. This is a very simple but powerful tip.
